I’ve always loved Star Trek and Star Wars equally, and I have friends who ask me how is that possible. Well, when I’m in a mood to stretch my imagination and logic and reasoning, I watch Star Trek.  When I’m looking for a fun fantasy filled retreat, I watch Star Wars. And as time has progressed, technology has started to take on aesthetic characteristics of Star Trek. I admint without shame that I have a flip phone attached to my hip and when a call comes in, I flip that bad boy open like I’m on Alpa 177.

Now, it seems, that not all Star Trek tech is feasible with the current technology.  According to a story on MSNBC, traveling at warp speed will kill you because of the bombardment of hydrogen atoms colliding with our body at the speed of light.  This scientist went on to say that light speed travel may be possible, but we will need different technology to do it.  So don’t make any plans to visit Alpha Centauri anytime soon.

Well did you? Did you see Star Trek? Well if you didn’t you don’t know what you are missing! It was absolutely the best film I’ve seen in a very long time. If you thought you’d catch it on DVD don’t! It needs to be seen in all its glory on the big screen…twice! Seriously, it was that good! Don’t miss it folk, no self respecting geek would!

Star Trek is almost here and I for one could not be happier. I’ll be there on the 8th to check it out with all of the other geeks in the world! For those who just don’t get it stop trying to figure it out, you’ll never get it. This is possibly one of the greatest Science fiction stories ever told. One of the greatest men in Sci-Fi got there by cheating! I cannot wait until the 8th!

Saw the trailer for this the other day and I am blown away! I thought we were done seeing the originals and now they have gone and make a prequel! I’m super excited and I will be at the movies on opening day to see this one on the big screen! Any die hard Star Trek fan should be more excited then when it was announced Vista was dead!
