A short time ago on a continent not too far away

As you can tell by the title, there’s a story with a Star Wars flare.  Apparently, there’s a lady in Spain who lost some fingers from an illness.  Doctors have outfitted her with what they are claiming as the world’s first bionic fingers. So that scene at the end of Empire Strikes Back where Luke is testing his new mechanical hand is not quite as much fiction as it used to be.
