Can't Stop Geeking

I’d like to take a few minutes to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. It’s been a long year for everyone and now that the Holidays are here it’s time to spend a little time with the family. I hope your holiday season is an enjoyable one.

I came across this today and it has to be one of the oddest things a person would want to do. A lego kitchen. This would likely give me a seizure if I saw it in person.

I’ve discussed with my wife several times about going solar and every time I do she says she doesn’t want those big square glass panels on her house.  Well I came across these solar panels from srsenergy that just blew me away! Not only are they solar, they are extremely fashionable. These aren’t your daddy’s solar panels!

Yup, I thought it was interesting when I read that Twitter opened a green office space.  You’d think that the only green they would want to see is the kinds with dead Presidents on it. However, it seems like they are good corporate citizens and their offices actually don’t suck the life out of nature like their site sucks the life out of the internet

I will not pass judgment on tree hugger but I’ just like to know if anyone was aware of this site? It’s got a lot of interesting reading in it if you are conscious of your environment.  I just thought I’d pass it on to you all because it seems like an interesting site. Let me know what you all think.

I think the title of the post says it all! Just because it’s energy efficient does it have to be ugly? Why do most energy efficient vehicles seem to be decedents of the ugly tree?

I drive about 7 miles to work and back home so using a scooter might just be the ticket for saving money and the environment at the same time.  This scooter by Movito is simply one of the coolest looking ideas around! Check it out!

Has anyone else heard of Alertsec? I’ve fallen in love with their full disc encryption as well as their overall computer protection. A friend told me about them a while ago and I jumped right on board with their service.  I had occasion to use their helpdesk (the issue was on my end) and they were understanding, professional and fixed the issue quickly (even though the issue was on my end.) There are so many products out there to help secure your data and so far Alertsec has been top notch and on the ball with their services!

I know people who work for T-Mobile and I can tell you with certain that T-Mobile has blocked access to the Droid website to all front line employees. I can also tell you that this is the first time that this has happened in the history of T-Mobile! So what are they worried about? Motorolla’s Droid is much better then the Cliq and is on par with the MyTouch. Now I’m even more excited about the Droid!

Yah, so Gizmodo expected any operating system that ends in a .5 to be an improvement? Windows Mobile has been trash for years and a mid cycle update doesn’t seem impressive to me in the least bit. I’ve had extensive use with WM devices and I personally will never own one again. Maybe Microsoft should strike a deal with Google and use Android as a back end system like Motorola has done with their Cliq. That would make for a much better OS and a stronger handset all together.
