I’m having a lazy day today! I’m just writing on my blogs, chilling at the office and watching Dr. Phil on the TV! I’m sure something is going to break soon and I’ll be super busy again but this is just one of those rare days where I don’t have 20 things to do! Any takers on how long this will last?

With the Sony Walkman turning 30 I did not know that they moved into the world of digital. For some reason I had missed this all together. Apparently they have the Sony X series and it’s a full touch fully digital music player. I’m going to have to investigate this a bit further. Forgive me for not being up on this but I thought the Walkman died years ago!

With the popularity of Twitter, companies are working hard to keep their deep links below 140 characters to enable ULR sharing. However, this seems to cause a problem because scamming and phishing can be a problem. Also, there are several sites where a URL can be fed into a code maker and it will generate a shorter URL that will redirect people to the desired site. In some cases there is a small fee for doing this but hey, it works and that way people can spam Twitter users!

So, in the first week of the iPhone 3G S it sold just over 1 million units. That’s the biggest launch ever for AT&T and Apple. With that many units sold it’s easy to say that the iPHone is the industry standard in mobile technology but for how long? With the iTouch and the Palm Pre about to reach full swing it won’t be long until you see the iPhone’s market share slipping away. By the end of summer it’s likely a whole new device will be leading the way!

Maine acquired 73,000 Mac book computers for their students to use at school and at home. This is a huge win for students who struggle to afford quality equipment to aide in their education. Not only that, it’s a win for Apple. So many people think a Mac is too hard to learn when in fact the learning curve is about 10 minutes, if that! Hopefully other states get on the wagon and get their kids equipped with a Mac or a PC so they can catch up to countries like China!

Apparently people in Japan really have nothing to do. Someone created a DIY project that monitors your heart beats and reports the results to Twitter in the form of small messages. I can see the validity of this if you need to report info to your hear t doctor but for the average person this seems like a carbon sucking major use of bandwidth. This folks is the reason why providers want to charge for bandwidth!
