When I heard that Blackberry was putting out their own application platform I was excited to say the least. I downloaded and installed the app world and I downloaded about 5 free radio programs (that work better over Wi-Fi then they do over EDGE.) However, when I wen;t to download my first paid application I was promptly asked for my paypal address. Now, I’m a fan of paypal but I know countless people who aren’t. I wonder if this is a smart business move for Blackberry. I had to pay $4.99 for my application which is far more than the G1 market place and slightly higher then the iPhone app world.
