I’m sure this is due to the G1 being affordable at $179.99 with full upgrade. It seems fit that making the iPhone2 out of plastic and lesser quality parts the new iPhone should be at a reasonable cost to avoid losing sales to the T-Mobile G1. Also, with reports of the G2 being more like the iPhone I’m sure Apple is looking at market share and freaking out right about now. Google is a big company to compete against and this is going to be a tough road for the iPhone.
