Few rumors flying out there in the wild wild world of the Internet that the Nintendo DSi is coming to US April 4 for at or around $180. Great News for fans of the DS who have drooling over the fact that the Nintendo DSi has been out in Japan since November of last year!

Dear Vista,

It’s been an interesting journey so far. We’ve had some interesting times and many things have changed since we have been together. For one, our market share has dropped and other developers like Apple have really taken a bigger piece of the pie. It hasn’t all been bad. Many many people have needlessly upgraded their hardware so they could be part of our partnership.

It’s with regret that I have to tell you that our relationship just hasn’t been beneficial for me and right now I feel trapped is a world that just keeps rebooting itself. Sadly, I feel that we should part ways.

Sincerely,

Microsoft

Ps. Windows 7…well, it might not be any better than you, it just isn’t called Vista.

Palm Wins an Award?

So if you have been following the tech world for some time, you know the sad saga of Palm.  For those who don’t, let just put it this way…  During the late 90′s and through the mid-2000′s, Palm was the end all be all of smart-phone companies.  As of several weeks ago, Palm was the smart-phone company that was left for dead dragging it’s body to the nearest hospital and hoping for one last chance at life… well it delivered.  Talk about a comeback:  the Palm Pre stole the show at CES 2009 and won best of CES 2009 and the people’s voice award.  Congrats Palm, no one thought you could do it, but you did it.

Apple unleashes the iGlove into the world! Huh? Now, seriously this may be the coolest thing on the market even if it looks like a Nintendo controller from the 80′s. I wonder if this is the generation one product that might take market share from the Wii.

I’m left to wonder though, if this glove is aimed at making the use of heat/impulse touch screens easier to use (example being the iPhone) then why don’t they just build the phone and interface into the glove! Gives new meaning to talk to the hand doesn’t it! Personally, I don’t see this product surviving in the market place but it does look cool.

Apple recently announced that they will be going DRM free on all music which is fantastic news for us all.  The other announcement is that there will be variable pricing, most likely $0.69, $0.99, and $1.29.  Without knowing for sure, this seems like a deal Apple struck with the record industries that have wanted variable pricing for quite sometime, but I will take it if it’s DRM free!

Seriously? Does the world need a television that is only 9.9MM thick? Everyone seems to be chomping at the bit about these televisions. I guess Sony did not bother to consult Mac when they put out the Mac Air. It bombed because some things shouldn’t be made so thin that it hurts their integrity. A 40″ television that thin really makes me wonder how easy it will be to crack it when moving it. A slight twist and your 5K investment just went down the tube. I’ll reserve my final opinion on this until I see one in person but really, do we really need things to be this thin?

Well it looks like the rumors that had been floating around about Apple CEO Steve Jobs are in fact true, sort of.  It was disclosed today that Steve ails from an “hormonal imbalance” which took stocks higher but left many wondering what in fact a “hormonal imbalance” is.  Regardless, it appears Jobs is a-okay for the time being, more info can be found on the CNN article on Jobs health announcement.
