I’d like to take a minute to wish everyone a happy holiday. I hope everyone takes a few minutes out of their day to put the blogging world aside and spend a little time with the real people in your life that make your every day world go around. Give a hug, give a present or give a high five for another year above ground! May your day be filled with tons of geek inspiring presents!
This is a really cool program that analyzes your iTunes play list and pulls corresponding play lists from Youtube. At first I thought that this was redundant because I already paid for the polished higher bit rate iTunes copy of the song until I looked into the concept behind Sonic Swap.
The idea isn’t to listen to lower quality versions of your own library. It’s to share your play lists with your friends or other people on the Internet. It’s a great way to let people get to know you and it’s a great way to find new music! Give it a go and check out all your friends iTunes play lists!
I have been looking for a reputable company that offers excellent and easy automated PC repair and I think I found the answer in Persystent Technologies!
Not only do they offer all types of services for their customers, they also have the Persystent Edge Appliance which is something every small business should have! The aspect that immediately caught my eye was that it allows IT administrators to easily deploy a server to maintain and control end-user PCs.
This is huge – such a time saver!
If you are like me you’ve transitioned from IPod devices to your good old mobile phone to enjoy your music. With memory cards in the 8 gig range there is no need to carry two devices with you anymore. The only drawback I’ve seen with using your mobile phone is the quality of headset that traditionally come with the phone. Some people use bluetooth but a lot of phones don’t support true stereo bluetooth when listening to music. Also, if you are using bluetooth you risk running out of battery power in the middle of the face melting solo that’s been on constant repeat for a month.
I thought I was stuck with the same low quality headsets until I came across Shure and their new stereo headset. It seems to be a viable alternative to the standard junk headsets that come in the box. I plan on ordering a pair to give a try sometime after Christmas…that is, unless I get a pair on Christmas!
I’m not a teacher but when I saw this I immediately saw the benefits of it. With mobile phones becoming the 3rd arm (often more important then the first two) there are times when it’s important to know when people have their phones on.
Cheating is escalating not only in school but in the work force so having access to a cell phone detector when working in a school or work environment can be a plus. It will ensure everyone has their phones turned off and not just on silent. It can put everyone on an even playing field!
