Thanks to everyone who chimed in about their answers to My question and pointing me to the appropriate PC support vendor, I appreciate it. Luckily it looks like I have a few smart readers out there who came to the call quickly, so a special thanks to Mikael from Wisconsin!
So for my work, I need to find a way to remotely repair PCs or somehow automated the process when I’m away and I need some advice. I’ve posted the question over at Yahoo answers but if anyone can help me choose a solution here, that’d be great. I found a PC repair solutions provider in the link, but I don’t know how well they scale, cost, etc. Please email me with any suggestions, thanks so much!
Netflix just announced that it will be supporting online viewing of its online movie selection to Macs using… go ahead, guess… Silverlight! Yes, silverlight will be utilized which of course is a Microsoft technology, funny in my opinion. Read more about it on Cnet.
Ubuntu 8.1 is due on Tuesday sources say, so if the past is destined to repeat itself, downloads will be slow but we’ve included the link to where you can download Ubunu. I say way a day or two and your download time will be significantly cut.
Oprah recently plugged the Kindle and you know how she can really get a product going… luckily for us geeks who already knew about the Kindle for quite some time along with knowing of its exhorbenent price tag, can now get a cool $50 off by entering OPRAHWINFREY during the checkout process at Amazon.com. Thanks O!
Just found this little write up on the far upcoming Windows 7, at least that’s what it is called so far. It seems Microsoft doesn’t want to admit Vista failures but is quickly moving onto the next operating system as soon as possible. Now I personally believe Vista has really matured and is actually a nice operating system. Most of the issues I had were with older devices, but I blame the manufacturers for not updating or creating proper drivers. Regardless, I look forward to the new upcoming Windows 7, more so because I believe Microsoft is really on the defense and will start hammering out some quality and innovative stuff… I hope!
